Calling All Photographers!

Calling all photographers!
I have a special I am offering for the month of July!

I love to crochet!  No secret there.  I love making things that people will enjoy, and designing new patterns; being creative.
I also love to share these things I make with all of you.  But a big part of that is taking great photos.  I am no photographer.  Don't get me wrong; I do ok.  I can handle the simple point and shoot, and I enjoy setting up a scene, but I can't always seem to get my horrible camera (I know I need a new one) or the lighting to cooperate.  I am not highly skilled in all areas photoshop, and these are important things.
So, I am putting out a call to all professional photographers (mostly those specializing in newborn and child photography).  I would love to have some of the items I offer photographed.
I currently offer a photographer's special:
Purchase an item, take and send me a picture/pictures I can use, and I will give you 30% off your next purchase with me.
For the month of July only, I will be offering a big photographer's special:
I will post an album on my facebook page of several photo props.  I will charge shipping only for each of those items!  This is for serious photographers only, and I must in turn receive photos of my items that I can use.  I will promote all participating photographers on my page, and would appreciate my items being tagged in their photos as well.
I will still offer 30% off on a future purchase for use of these photos as well.

This offer is for the month of July only, and only applies to the items I will select and put in their own album.  This is open to all professional photographers (even if you are just getting started) only.
I will post details very soon (as I have them) and links to the album/offer when it begins.
I will also be listing a few of my photo props in my Etsy shop in the next coming months.  Please go check out the shop, as I have been adding lots of new items, and now offer all of my patterns for instant download. I am also offering pattern pack deals on several of my patterns.
I am currently filling the album and making items for the special too, so if you are a photographer looking for something in particular, I will take suggestions from the comments below.  I'd love to hear from you!

A New Dress

I just finished this cute little dress for my daughter, and I am loving it!
The pattern is by Mon Petit Violon(check out her facebook page and site), and I could not be happier with it!  I am not one who likes to buy patterns too often.  I usually prefer to make up my own designs.  Usually when I buy patterns, I am disappointed by the mistakes in them, and have to tweak them myself.  Frustrating when you purchase it.
Not this time though!  Her patterns are so well written, free of errors, and include some helpful photos.  Everything worked up exactly as it should.
Now, the actual pattern calls for sleeves, but I have left mine off for the warmer months, so that she can get some longer wear out of it.  I love it sleeveless too!  I will be adding the sleeves, and perhaps a bit more length to it in the fall for the cooler weather.
I definitely see more of these in my future.  It was simple and fun to make, and it looks adorable on.  I like the classic vintage style of the dress, and think it looks so sweet on my little one.
The bow accent in the front is an adorable touch....
and I added this sparkly vintage button to the back.
I will be making these available for custom orders now as well.  They can be made in 0-6 month all the way up to 3-4years.  My daughter's is the largest size, so I think I will be experimenting with larger hook size to get another size up for her.  I'll keep you posted.

If you would like to place a custom order for one of these adorable dresses, you can contact me by email or on facebook.  I will be setting up a listing soon on Etsy as well.
I have added many items there this week, and have several more to list soon.
In other news, we took a trip to our local library which was just remodeled.  The children's room is wonderful, and my daughter had a great time!  Unfortunately, she didn't want to leave, and threw her first public semi-tantrum.  Hmmph...  Oh well.  It happens.  She was in major need of a nap, and awoke in much better spirits later on.
We got a few crafting books; mostly for me, but a couple with crafts for kids.  I figured we could find some fun stuff to make this week, with all the rain we're expecting.

What are your favorite rainy day activities to do with kids?  Any fun craft ideas?  Feel free to post links.
